Matt joined Parthenon in 2014 from PNC Wealth Management, where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Vice President. During his tenure at PNC, he was entrusted with managing investments for complex fiduciary relationships and received several awards for his contributions.
He began his career at Hilliard Lyons and later became an analyst at SG Cowen in Boston, MA. Before his time at PNC, he was an Investment Officer at the Kentucky Teachers’ Retirement System, where he was tasked with managing large fixed income portfolios.
A CFA charterholder since 2005, Matt is a member of the CFA Society of Louisville. He was recognized in 2015 by Louisville Business First as a “Forty Under 40” recipient and was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel the same year. He also was valedictorian and graduated summa cum laude from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN, where he obtained a BS in Finance and Computer Information Systems. He has investment experience since 1997.
Matt is active in the community and is a part of several organizations. He currently serves on the board of the Home of the Innocents (where he serves as the Chairman of the Technology Committee), mPower Approach (an organization dedicated to sending short term mission teams to train dentists in developing countries), and the University of Louisville Foundation (where he is the Investment Subcommittee Chair). Matt is also active in his church.
Matt is married to Carla and they have three children.
